Farewell Space Shuttle
Today marks the end of a 30 year run for NASA’s space shuttle. Having been born in the early ’80s, the space shuttle has been a constant part of my life. It has been a source for imagination and dreams and has been a reminder of humanity’s limitless possibilities. Honestly though, I’m surprised the program has lasted this long. If you had asked me 15 years ago what vehicle we would be using for space travel in 2011, I definitely wouldn’t have described the space shuttle. That being said, I’m anxious to see what’s in store for NASA and the United State’s space program. Let us never cease to reach for the stars.
